August 2010 - Jonathan Hurst This footage is from a couple sessions in August. We went down to Nashville for the Free Flow Tour and then hit Metro after. The park rangers and police were lurking - issuing tickets - so helmets were necessary. The BGKY footage comes from later in August and Jonathan shows he's got diverse skills and smooth style in the park and the streets. Next sesh we're going to try and get out to Paducah to film on his home turf to show you what he can do on his local spots.

July 2010 - Jonathan Hurst This footage is from late July in BGKY. We've known Jonathan for a number of years now but ran into him again at the eS Game of SKATE in Evansville IN where he got second place. We started up a conversation again and planned to meet to skate and talk. This is the session that definitely convinced us that he should be part of the team. All of this footage was shot in one afternoon in the sweltering heat. As you can tell by this footage Jonathan's got great style and diverse skills. Expect to see plenty more video and photos coming through from him very soon.

May 2010 - Bly Nantz This footage comes from mid to late May in BGKY. Full cabs, and full cab flips were the order of the day. A little bit of goofing around and some throwing down before, during, and after a street plaza contest that Bly took second in.

April 2010 - Tour Footage (Andrew & Bly) Meanwhile took part in a collaborative tour with Bacon Skateboards on Saturday April 17th in BGKY and Evansville IN. The morning was spent in BGKY doing a signing at Howard's Skateshop and then over to the skate park to hang & skate. The hang and skate was pretty casual and a lot of goofing off went down in between a few serious sesh's. The footage you see here is from the morning and early afternoon at the BGKY skate park. More footage of the Evansville IN stop at Killer skatepark will be coming soon.

March 2010 - Bly Nantz Late March on a chill afternoon in BGKY. This is footage from the same weekend when the latest Friend's footage was taped. This Saturday was also our friend Skylar's 18th birthday so goofing off was in order - so this wasn't a very serious filming sssion. In between just kicking it, hanging out and having a good time - we managed to get a few clips to show you what went down. Bly was interested in killing the mini volcano. A fs nose grind across the center box slacker style like it's nothing. Last - a switch ollie down the 6 set while he was just cruising around the park.

March 2010 - Friend's Footage Late March in BGKY we skated with some friends from Louisville. Alex Hancock (Home skate shop), Garret Majors, and Dalton Wilcox came down the to the skate park for the first time and tore it down. We skated the park, hung out and had lunch then showed them some spots around BGKY to get some clips and pictures. Keep your eye out for them - I'm sure we'll have some more footage of them coming through again soon.

Late February & early March
2010 - Bly Nantz So spring has finally sprung and we're out trying to hit some street spots that have been covered in snow and ice. Kicked out of countless spots in no time flat and had to ninja on some other spots that can give hefty tickets. There's contest footage, street spots and skatepark footy in this web edit.

February 2010 - Bly
Nantz Snow is still coming down where we live. So we've been getting out to Killer Skatepark as much as possible. It was a little more crowded this time because it was a snow day for local schools, but we enjoyed ourselves all the same. Bly was sessioning the step up and flat bar a lot this time. This web edit is a little shorter than usual because I was enjoying the mini ramp.

February 2010 - Bly
Nantz Skateboarding and winter just don't mix. The snow has been falling heavily around here lately so it was time to dig ourselves out before the cabin fever got worse. So we needed an indoor space to have a skate sesh. We found a new skate park in Evansville IN called Killer Skatepark. We drove up to Evansville and skated it - had a really good time. They have events and contests on a regular basis so we strongly recommend you go and check them out and support this new core shop and skate park.

January 2010 - Bly
Nantz We made a trip down to Nashville on a very windy Saturday in late January. We stuck to the skate parks and visited with some friends. Bly threw down the usual arsenal of tech over and down obstacles - and of course switch tricks were in order. A big switch ollie over the 8 set, switch flip over the double set, and he got creative with some manny pad business.

January 2010 - Bly
Nantz The artic blast that sent us into the deep freeze finally melted off so we could go out and skate. We visited a fun spot in a not-so-nice part of town. There's good manual pads and some benches on super smooth, super wide basketball courts. The only problem is the benches are lurked by the local crackheads. You have to grow a set of eyes in the back of your head when rolling with camera gear. This was one time we were actually glad to see the cops roll by because we knew we weren't the reason they were there. Lots of switch stance stuff in here, good tech lines, a huge full cab over the bench, and a full cab flip in of those line done at top speed.

December 2009 - Bly
Nantz The clips from this web edit are from a couple of weekends in BGKY at the skatepark mostly trying new things and goofing around. But goofing around for Bly means trying things he's never done before, or taking a trick he has on lock to new terrain. Tre flip the box, tech tricks over the pump bumps, going big over the hip transfers, switch ollie over the 5 set rail, switch fs 180 up the drop, and an effortless super clean nollie big down the 5 set... just to name a few.

December 2009 - Friends Montage Here's some friends footage from the week around Thanksgiving. Skyler Bratcher (17 - Owensboro, KY) and Tyler Roberts (16 Owensboro, KY) throw down some tricks while skating with Bly in BGKY. Check out Skyler's heelflip manual to drop, and Tyler's inward heel off the drop.

Early December 2009 - Bly
Nantz Bly had never skated Legislative Plaza in downtown Nashville TN so we drove down over the end of the Thanksgiving break weekend hoping that the security would be minimal. We lucked out with the security factor - not so lucky with the rain factor. None the less we got in a good 30 minutes or so before the marble turned into a ice skating rink. There were a lot of homeless peeps parked on the ledges roadblocking - making it impossible to get longer lines in. None the less - Bly's hooked on Legislative and wants to go back badly . Check the nollie full cab flip line in the rain - Bly's consistent as they come with his tech skills. After getting rained out at Legislative we went over towards CWC/Metro and kicked it at the skatepark... switch tre up the euro.

November 28 2009 - Bly
Nantz So we've been busy over the Thanksgiving break. A new spot popped up that we're calling "The Dirty". It's basically a foundation of an old warehouse that collapsed and then was razed leaving the foundation. It left some cool drops, ledges and manual pads - but it also left a lot of dirt debris. So we swept out areas as much as we could and had a go at it. Look for more footage of this spot -- and if you haven't figured out why we called it "The Dirty" watch the dust cloud left after every trick.

November 25 2009 - Bly
Nantz Bly had a foot injury and was taking it easy -- which meant no drops or stairs. He was fine to skate on flat ground so we went with that. We filmed a long list of his go-to tricks. Most were landed in 1 to 3 tries. A few of them he repeatedly landed until he was satisfied with it being as clean as he wanted or at the amplitude or pop he wanted. Check out the switch big flip and the switch tre body varial - rediculously clean. Later while hanging out and goofing around Bly fs 180'd up the drop so somebody dared him to switch ollie up the drop, so he did - super clean first try. So then we dared him to fs 180 nollie up the drop and he did - first try.

October through early November 2009 - Bly
Nantz Switch fs 360 down 5 set, switch fs flip down 5 set, nollie varial kickflip down 5 set.... Are you sensing the pattern? If he can do a trick on flat he can do it down a decent size flight of stairs or a gap... Not to mention he can kill it in both stances. Those tricks were just a few among many other creative tricks in this edit that he's firing off pretty consistently as of late.

September 12, 2009
- Bly Nantz Considering how he can do full cab flips on flat with his hands tied behind his back and blindfolded, it was just a matter of time until he had a clean full cab flip down the 5 set to show on the video page.

September 6, 2009 - Bly
Nantz Keeping this edit description simple... Nollie tre over the BGKY 5 set, switch tricks all over the place, lines of tricks on flat ground, ledges, and down the Austin Pea triple 5... and then there's the half cab nose slide body varial back tail to fakie -- try saying that 10 times fast.

August 8, 2009 - Andrew LaPenna We went out to skate in the middle of a heat wave... bad idea. So since Andrew kills 6Ave (and they have AC) we decided to take a break from the heat and go skate there most of this session. Check the kickflip front board slide on the rainbow rail.

Nantz Does he land the switch big flip down the BGKY 5 set or not? ...You'll have to wait until his new "best of" edit drops in the next few months. This clip also features a scorching hot day of nollies. One stand out clip on this web edit is the nollie fs nose grind... clean and stylish as per usual.

July 17, 2009 - Andrew LaPenna To put it simply: Andrew goes BIG. This footage is from his home turf of Ashland City TN. The 8 set he skates has zero roll up... here's how it goes down: jump on board, crouch to pop, hit it -- and there's expansion joints on the roll up. He might have had 20 feet to get speed and set up but Andrew doesn't give it a second thought - he just goes and sticks it. The dug-out at the end is over 9 feet tall, slanted roof and it's shingled. To make it even more interesting he goes off the end with the 5 foot chain link fence just to make it more of a challenge. Terrain that would scare off the average skater - Andrew doesn't even flinch at.

July 17, 2009 - Friend's Footage - Tre Hill Here's a little footage from a friend of ours. Tre Hill rides for the same shop team as Andrew LaPenna (The Board Shop). He's a local in Clarksville TN and you'll find him at their local park regularly. Don't be fooled by his hardflip over the hip - that park sucks bad and Tre makes it look easy to ride. He also gets some stylish manual tricks in like a heelflip - manual - bs 180 out.

May 17, 2009 - Andrew LaPenna Footage of Andrew competing in the May 16th Hometown Heroes contest Sixth Avenue Skatepark. Andrew proves time and time again that he can perform under pressure. A lot of people have skills - but not too many can throw down as consistently as Andrew in a contest situation. Andrew took 3rd place in this contest but his time will come soon when he starts taking first place in the contests he enters. He continues to progress and get a bigger arsenal of difficult tricks he can drop at a moment's notice.

April 18, 2009 - Friend's Footage We almost always have friends along with us or we meet up with friends at local spots when we're traveling. Here's a short edit of some friend's footage. Gage Beasley throws a mean clean hardflip over the Franklin long 4 set. Sam LaPenna (Andrew's younger brother) is getting really good -- watch out for him. Franklin plaza local Justin Booth pulls a sick fully boned out front feeble on the long 4 handrail.

April 18, 2009 - Andrew LaPenna Another short clip from Andrew - but once again it's great footage. This footage is from April 18th at the Franklin TN plaza. The other video shows Andrew's latest footage from the winter months in 2009. This video shows that Andrew is not resting on ld skills - he's constanty pushing to move his skills to higher levels. Amazing rail footage from the Vandy campus in Nashville. There's also some cool footage from a pallette warehouse where Andrew and some friends got creative and put together their own rail set up in doors while it was crazy cold outside. Thanks to Ethan @ FSS for the fish eye footy on this edit.

08 07 14 - Bly Nantz Footage of Bly Nantz from July 14th. We were testing out some ledge boxes I just built. Due to a drastic shortage of good spots and overzealous police ticketing in our metropolis called Owensboro KY... We had to come up with some other "legal" options where we could skate... Remember that Bly is regular -not goofy. A large portion of these tricks are done switch. He makes it looks easy... enjoy.
